Privacy Policy

Huskili Pty Ltd (“Huskili”, “we”, “us”) is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how we hold it, and how you can access or correct it.

What we collect

We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to run our business, including:

• Contact details you give us: name, company, email address, phone number, and the content of enquiries sent through this website, by email or by phone.
• Account and order details if you buy from our online shop: billing and delivery address, order history, and communications about an order. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor (Stripe) and are not stored by us.
• Information needed to deliver consulting and integration work, such as system logins, business data and user details that a client provides to us under an engagement.
• Technical information collected automatically when you use the website, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and referring site, through server logs and analytics.
• Call recordings and transcripts if you call our phone number, which may be answered by an automated assistant. You will be told at the start of the call if it is being recorded.

Why we collect it

• To respond to enquiries and provide quotes.
• To deliver consulting, integration, automation and hardware services, and to support them afterwards.
• To process and deliver shop orders and handle returns.
• To invoice, keep accounts and meet legal and tax obligations.
• To improve the website and our services.

We do not sell personal information and we do not send marketing material unless you have asked for it. You can opt out of any marketing at any time by contacting us.

Client data under an engagement

When we connect or automate a client’s business systems we may have access to that client’s data, which can include personal information about the client’s staff and customers. We access it only as needed to do the work, under the client’s instructions, and we treat the client as the controller of that data. We do not use it for any other purpose and we remove our access when the engagement ends unless a managed arrangement is in place.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where needed to provide our services, including with:

• Service providers we use to run the business, such as hosting (Amazon Web Services, Sydney region), email and productivity tools (Microsoft 365), accounting (Xero), payments (Stripe) and phone services.
• Suppliers and couriers, where needed to fulfil a shop order.
• Professional advisers, and government or regulatory bodies where required by law.

Some of these providers store data outside Australia, principally in the United States and the European Union. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure the provider handles the information in line with Australian privacy law.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses cookies that are necessary for it to work, such as keeping items in your cart and remembering that you are logged in. We may also use analytics to understand how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser; some parts of the site may not work as a result.

How we hold it

Information is held in systems protected by access controls, multi-factor authentication and encryption in transit. Access is limited to people who need it. We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law (for example, financial records for seven years), and then delete or de-identify it.

Access and correction

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct it. Email sales@huskili.com and we will respond within 30 days. If we refuse a request we will tell you why.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first and we will look into it. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
